This summer we are planning to do a virtual program Registration will take place during March only.
Dates: Friday, June 25th through Friday, July 2nd 9:15AM - 12:30PM (July 2nd there will be a 12:00 pm Closing Mass, end time is at 1:00 pm)
Informational Parent Meeting: Wednesday March 3rd at 7:00 pm through Zoom
How to Register: Online registration Thursday, March 4 - Wednesday, March 31 (Registration must be completed by March 31 to be in the Summer Program)
Outline of Program:
Each day will consist a 15-minute Opening Prayer at 9:15AM
- Three Flip Grids Lessons; approximately 10 minutes each, (one for each of the 3 chapters)
- One 20-minute Zoom Webinar Music Class. There will be two options:
1 Music Class for Grades 1-3
1 Music Class for Grade 4-6
- One 20 minute live zoom webinar activity session to reinforce the concepts at 12:00 pm
Example: A game with questions from each of the 3 chapters taught that day.
At Home Component: Each day will consist of 2 parts:
- Each child will go online, after the 12:30 classroom time, and answer 3 questions, (1 from each of the 3 lessons taught that day). This should take no longer than 10 minutes per student.
- Each family will complete one activity as a family. All the children in your family who are enrolled in this Virtual Summer Program will be expected to be involved in this activity with at least one parent or guardian from your family.
The expectation is that this assignment is per family and should not take longer than 30 minutes.
School Year Requirements
- There will be four required events during the school year. Dates and times for those are TBD. It is our hope to have as many of these sessions in person at Church.
- These sessions will be held on Wednesdays at 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm.
